BIG NEWS!
House
of Dreams & Our Partners Team Up With
Hands On Gulf Coast To Provide a "Dream Kitchen"
for a home damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Since the birth of our company 16 years ago, House of Dreams
has been dedicated to providing quality design and remodeling
for hundreds of Minnesota homes. This summer we have taken
the opportunity to reach beyond the borders of our state and
use our gifts to help a community in need.
When
Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast on August
29th, 2005, the modest home of Biloxi, Mississippi resident Ethel
Curry was one among the many thousands that were destroyed.
For almost a year and a half, she waited patiently for an organ-
ization to come and begin rebuilding that which was lost. Then
in the fall of 2006, Hand On Gulf Coast, a Gulf based branch of
the nonprofit Hands On Network, began the work that seemed
so long in coming. Today, her house is almost complete!
It
is here, through the generosity of several local Minnesota
businesses and in cooperation with Hand On Gulf Coast,
House of Dreams will be providing Miss Curry with a "kitchen
of her own dreams"!
During
the first week of August, Cheryl Hamburger, a House
of Dreams designer, and her daughter Michelle, will personally
be delivering cabinets, countertop, a sink, faucet, microwave,
and lighting to Miss Curry's home. The employees of Hands
On Gulf Coast will install the new kitchen.
We
at the House of Dreams are excited to be a part of these
final stages as Miss Curry prepares to leave her FEMA trailer
behind and reenter her family's home. It is with humble thanks
that we recognize those businesses who willingly gave their
time and resources to make this possibility a reality. With out
you, we could have never done this.
