Whole
House Remodel on Forest Lake
The original Forest Lake home was built in 1952 as a cabin. It consisted
of a small kitchen, living room, bath, and a bedroom. In 1970, an
addition was added to provide bedrooms and a family room. Over the
last half a century, there were no updates to the main cabin. The
yard was overgrown to the point that Forest Lake was no longer visible.
The new homeowners choose to work with the House of Dreams to transform
the old cabin into their new dream home. The main house was completely
gutted. The new design added a 3 car garage, main floor laundry,
and a powder room. A great room with vaulted ceilings and over sized
arch windows give optimal views of the lake. The state of the art
kitchen has a large center island with raised granite counter tops.
A stone gas fireplace in the corner brings warmth and welcome to
this cozy room.
The 2nd level was renovated to include a large owners suite with
walk-in closets and a walk-in shower. An additional bath and closet
were also added.
New windows,
siding, stone work, and a gracious entry way create a charming exterior
for this lake side home.
It was a
wonderful experience. They really help you through the stressful
steps in a remodel and give you the support you need. I don't know
how we could have gone wrong with them." The Becks -
