Wishing to create a lofty voluminous place for relaxation, we designed a 14' x 22' sleeping/lake viewing space with a true to roof line 8/12 vaulted ceiling and a "wall of glass" facing the lake. The adjacent Owner's "Spa" is connected to the sleeping room with a pocket door and a two sided gas fireplace pocketed into the wall common to the bathroom and bedroom. The corner "Pearl" jetted tub rests just below the fireplace, allowing views of the lake while using the tub. We incorporated a large walk-in shower with a glass block base wall and a heavy glass panel above. The water closet is enclosed in a separate room, the double Cambria topped vanity finish off this expansive bath area. Of course, no owner's suite/spa would be complete without a programmable thermostatically controlled in-floor radiant heat system to warm the tiles in the morning. On
the other side of the bathroom wall you will find an 8' x 10' walk-in
closet, a laundry center, and a utility closet that houses the independent
HVAC system for this home addition. |
